Council of the City of
that Article 37, Revised Ordinal*
ces of the City of Navasota, be so ’
amended as hereaftei to read as .
follows:
Sec. 1. The city Scavenger
shall perform the duties of his
office in all parts of the city and
is hereby required to clean or
cause to be cleaned, all privies,
and carry off all k.tchen slops and
filth, and for that purpose shall
visit the privies of private resi-
dences once evt ry mouth, business
houses once every two weeks, and
boarding bouses and hotels once a
week. Provided, that he shall
clean any of the above enumer-
ated places oftener if requested
by the owner or occupant of any
of them so to do. The City
Scavenger shall have and receive
for his services for cleaning any
privy, or hauling away the slopi
a fee of fifty cents, said fee to bi
paid by the owner or occupant of
the premises. Failing to dis-
charge any of the duties herein-
before set out, he shall upon
conviction, be fined in any sum
not exceeding ten dollars. *
Sec. 2. Every owner or occu-
pant of any private residence,
business house, boarding house,
or hotel in this city shall have the
privy used in connection there- KING NEPTUNE’S

dence, once a montn, if a bus! r
□ess bouse, once everj two weeks,1
and if a boarding bouse or botel,
once every week, and failing to
do so, shall be fined in any sum
not exceeding ten dollars. Pro-
vided, that any owner or occu-
pant of premises may clean out
hia own privy and haul away his
own slop and filth.

its passage and publication. .
