Dear Mr. Kempner:
We have a reply from our Paris office answering your ques-
tions regarding the services of chauffeur Stachewsky:
1. - Mr. Stachewsky speaks English and French flu-
ently.
2. - He does not speak Italian.
3. - He is a resident of Paris which he knows per-
fectly well.
4. - He cannot accept the price of $3.50; the tariff
for "extra" driver, as far as salary is concerned,
is fixed between $6.00 and $8.00 a day. To this,
you have to add the traveling expenses when travel-
ing outside Paris and the lunch for any day exursion
outside Faris.
5. -
Mr. Kempner will be able to use the services of the driver
without having to pay for supplementary time.
6. - For " extra" chauffeurs salary is paid only by the day.
It is understood that if Mr. Kerpner wishes it, driver
Stachewsky will remain at his disposal seven days a
week.
Trusting with this explanation you will find it convenient to
forward us a x;100.00 deposit which in turn will be forwarded to our paris
office so that we may depend on tie services of Mr. Stachewsky.
yo s very trul ,
