Parker, Sr. of Santa Barbara,
Calif, stating a number of facts
concerning her son's activities.
Fess Parker, Jr., of Los Angel
es, Calif, his wife, Marcella and
their two children, Fess Alan
III, and his siter, Ashley and
their baby sitter have been on
the go aU summer. Fess Jr.,
or Daniel Boone as he Is better
known by his TV fans, has
made numerous appearances in
all the major cities of the Unit-
ed States and abroad.
Mrs. C. B. Burna of DubUn
is in the M. D. Anderson Hospi-
tal for medical treatment in
Houston.
Mrs. Miller, wife of the Rev.
Steve MiUer of the Stephenville
area is now in the local hospital
for surgery.

pital in AbUene. She was a
native of Erath County, and
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

1 tsp. vanilla
Cut the Bakers chocolate very
fine into a mixing bowl and
pour, the boiling water over,
(let cool) now, stir the sifted
flour, sugar, salt and soda in-
to the cooled chocolate mixture
add soft butter and beat very
thoroughly. Add milk, vaniUa
and egg, beat thoroughly again.
Bake in layers ot in a sheath
pan.

Place in a heavy saucepan 1
ounce Bakers Chocolate cut
very thin, 1 cup sugar, one-
third cup sweet mUk, 14 cup
butter, V« tsp. salt Bring to a
fuU rolling boU, stirring con-
stantly and boil slowly for one
minute. Remove from beat and
add 1 tsp, vanilla and beat until
its the right consistency to
spread on cake and bold its
shape. Preferably in occasional
peaks. If frosting becomes too
thick, add about 1 tsp. cream,
(Nuts may be added if desired
I prefer small bits sprinkled
over the top. I frost mine in the
sheath pan that it was cooked
in.
