Residents of the Bluff Dale
Community and surrounding
area have been missing news
of their friends and neighbors,
club and church activitie not
to mention news of the young
and elderly people alike, ac-
cording to reports received by
the Empire-Tribune.
Minister J. B. Tomlinson re-
ported Tuesday “Sunday servic-
es at the Bluff Dale Church of
Christ will begin at 10 a m.
with Bible class. Preaching and
worship services will follow at
11 a.m. with no evening ser
vices.
Rev. Tony Campbell reported
that there will be a revival at
the Bluff Dale Methodist
Church beginning Oct. 23-27,
with hervices Sunday at 7 p.m.
and at 7:30 p.m. Monday
through Thursday. Rev. J. W.
Sellers of St. John’s Methodist
Church in Fort Worth will be the
guest preacher. j ' i
Members of the Bluff Dale
Baptist Church, Methodist
Church, and Church of Christ
are urged to report any news
concerning church meetings and
news of families and friends to
the Empire-Tribune.
All civic clubs and organiza-
tions of Bluff Dale which in-
cludes the Bluff Dale Study
and Garden Club are urged to
report any news concerning
members and club meetings.
As Bluff Dale does not have
a correspondent at present, all

ed to be seriously ill. He is at

installation of the officers as

vice-president; Mrs. Ben Walls,
socretayr-treasurer; Mrs. Leo
nard Fenner, assistant secret-
ary-treasurer; Mrs. A. C. How-

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) —
Mrs. John F. Dolen of Kingsport
has added a touch of realism to
flying saucer sighting. The ones
she saw are even the right size.
Mrs. Dolen said she and sev-
eral others saw an object about
the size of a breadplate, yellow
in color and surrounded by a
halo, whizzing by on several oc-
casions.

Fort Worth Friday on business.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sparks
spent some time at the Harris
Hospital last week with their
grandson, Jerry Sparks, who
underwent noseband head sur-
gery.

wedding anniversary. those

Waco was unable to attend.
L. E. Brooks, who is crippled,
fell last week and was not in-
jured. A neighbor succeeded in
getting him a wheel ehair.
Jimmie Pope has returned
from Viet Nam and has been
in the Army three years and
we have heard he has been dis-
_charged.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Leather-
wood Jr. were honored with a
bridal shower Friday night at
the youth center. Games were
played and refreshments were
served. Mr. and Mrs. Leather-
wood are living at Lingleville.
Mrs. John White was buried
Sunday at the East End Ceme-
tery. The services were held in
the Stephenville Funeral Chap-
el. Mrs. White was a resident
of this community for many
years.
Mrs. Belva Evans and Louise
visited recently with her broth-
er, George Berrier at Byers.
Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Quarles ■,
visited Sunday with their son,
Leroy and family of Selden.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Yancy and
son of Benbrook visited over
the weekeryl with his parents,
the Albert Yanceys.
Mr. and Mrs. Obie Miller and
Mrs. Eva Long visited Sunday
in Arlington with their children
the Harold Millers.
Mr. and Mrs John Flannigan
of Godley visited Sunday with
their aunt, Mrs. Belva Evans.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bram-
lette visjted their daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Jim Caldwell at Den-
ton Sunday. The baby had been
in the hospital and is doing
better. Mrs. Bramlett is with
them for a few days.

visited for a few days at Azle.
Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Larner
came over Monday, and
brought Mrs. Elston and the
