L. Swygert. Mrs. L. T. Woodall
led the opening prayer.

presided over the meeting. A com-
munity mission devotional taken
from I Corinthians, chapter 13 was
given by Mrs. H. C. Felfry. Miss
Mable Moon presented the mission
on "Personal Soul Winning." The
meeting closed with prayer by Mrs.
Will Sligar.

cookies to 10 members.

Martin, secretary; Mrs. Eugene
Tolle. treasurer; Mrs. Earl Thomp-
son, reporter, and Mrs. Haskell
Key, parliamentarian.
After the business meeting, an
operetta entitled "The History of
Music" was presented by members
of all grades. Mistresses of cere-
mony were Gene Hester and Elaine
De Masters.

The South Ward Mothers' Club
met Tuesday afternoon in the
school auditorium. Retiring presi-
dent, Mrs. W. M. Boase, presided.
Mrs. Carrol Williams, finance
committee chairman, recommend-
ed that $500 be put aside to start a
a permanent fund for paving of the
playground. After much favorable
discussion, the recommendation
unanimously accepted.
Theme of the installation cere-
mony by Mrs. Howard Swanson was
"Schools are Big Business. "Offic-
ers installed by Mrs. Swanson
were: Mrs. Sam Fambro, presi-
dent; Mrs. Carroll Ford, vice-pres-
ident; Mrs. Wayne Webb, secre-
tary; Mrs. Edward McNallen,
treasurer; Mrs. R. M. Dickson,
reporter. and Mrs. Harwell Mc-
Connell, nursery chairman.
Committee chairmen were ap-
pointed as follows: Mrs. Mac Ma-
chen, fire prevention; Mrs. Gus
Gallagher and Mrs. Tom Mobley,
courtesy; Mrs. Blake Johnson Jr.,
