history of the East Texas Normal
College which wi’l be somewhat a
history 0< Prof. W L. Mayo after he
came to Texas. On a visit to some
relatives at Pecan Gap in Delta
county, Prof. Mayo found them
busy laying by their crops; seizing
the opportunity he gvt Into the
game, after which he taught a sum-
mer school. The people were pleas-
ed with him as a teacher and he
taught the following regular session.
