Carol Holloway are the featured star-
of ihis newest thriller, which is from
tlie pens of Albert E. Smith and Cyru>
Townsend Brady. Mi Smith is the
president of the Vitagraph Company
mid Dr Brady is one of tlie foremost
fiction writers of America
Manager Korn announces tiiat Tin
Iron Test" will start at the Grand on
Friday and tiiat lie will run one epi
sodc each week on Fridays Mt Korn
says that ho lifts si en the major por-
tion of "The Iron Test” and he be-
lieve# it to lie the most tlirilling story
of ri'in.ince and adventure which he
has seen on tlie screen. To begin
witli. tlie story lias for Its back-
ground a circus ami tlie big mountains
of tho AVest. which assure plenty of
action and fine photography Some
of the tin ills noted by Mr Korn he re-
lates as follows:
In tin' first episode Antonio Aloreno
leaps through a hiaziug hoop to a
fly mg trapeze, and in doing so his
< lot lies are set afire. He falls to the
ground in flames.
In the tliird episode Mr Moreno and
Miss Holloway, performing on the
high tra'ieze arc plunged downward
'from the Io pof the "big top" when a
| knife inserted by tlie villain cuts tlie
trapeze rope.
Later on Carol Holloway is attacked
by a raging lion
Still further Mr. Moreno has a bat-
tle in mid-air while lie is driving an
airplane. He loses control of the ma-
chine and leaps Hom a great height
into Hie sea
Again Carol Holloway risks her life
to save Moreno from being crushed
by u train Further on she performs)
one of the most wonderful riding
feats ever seen, when racing along al
perilous preeipious mountain trail she '
cut# the ropes binding Moreno to a
w ild horse and saves him from being I
'lunged to destruction over the cliff
"These arc only a few of the thrill-1
ers l remember." said Mr Korn, hut
they arc a fair sample of the hazard- ■
mis stunts which Mr. Moreno and Miss
Holloway perform in tlie course of
the serial. The things happen so fast
that, looking at severay episode# in
a bunch, it Is almost Impossible to'
keep track of them all. The serial
has a circus background, but the ae-j
tlon is faster than any three-ring cir-
cus that ever tested the eyesight and
neck muscles of an audience trying to
watch all three rings at once—-aud.
