El Paso, Texas, Oct. 14.—
High heeled shoes have lost
»ome of their popularity in El
Paso, shoe dealers declare.
Only about 15 per cent of the
shoes sold to women have high
heels, according to the dealers,
who said that in previous years
as high as 60 per cent of all
women’s shoes sold were high-
heeled. ■ .
A marked change is noted in idly
men’s shoes. P
the war, shoes have
broader. Dealers say this is
because so many army shoes
were worn during wartime and
the civilian population, train-
ed in the army shoe, is de-!
manding a shoe similar to it.
