Methodists to
view film on
Sunday
"Like a Mighty Army", a true
story of Dr. James Kennedy,
will be shown at the First
United Methodist Church
Sunday evening at 6 o'clock.
According to the Rev. James
C. Holman, pastor of the
church, no film has made a
greater impact on Christians
than has "Like a Mighty
Army".
The film tells the story of Dr.
James Kennedy snd the Coral
Ridge Church in Fort Lauder-
dale, Florida. which in nine
years grew from a membership
of 17 to over 2,500. The
recapturing of the Biblical
concept that the primary task
of the church is "every member
evangelism" is the message of
this film.

A clear choice
(Continued
bag for the citizens of this world. It has brought
social and technological developments on a scale
undreamed of in previous eras, and it has created
technological and social problems to match.
Unless we are able to find solutions to the
problems, we may soon cease to enjoy the
benefits of the technology.
For the first time in history, we have achieved
potentially the capability to end starvation. In
technological theory, at least, we can produce
enough food to feed our growing multitudes, and
enough fiber to clothe them.
But also for the first time in history we have
achieved, in technological reality, the capability
for total destruction of our planet.
from Page 2]
Our future as a people, our continued existence
as a world community may depend on whieh of
these technologies we choose to develop during
the last quarter of this century.
There is a clear choice to be made, and not
much time left to make it.
The choice is not wholly ours...other peoples of
other nations will also have a voice in it. But we in
the United States of America, while we can't sing
the lead solo, much as we'd like to think we can,
will nevertheless have a strong voice in calling the
tune.
We had better decide whether it is to be martial
music which will end some day in one loud clash of
cymbals, or a love song.
Spur of the Moment

beef efficiently for tomorrow's market will survive with it. So will
the consumers, who may have to chew a little longer to earn a steak
that will be a little cheaper at the market. But all of us who are old
enough to have worn out one set of teeth grew up eating grass fed
beef, and it was right tasty, too!
If we're all half as smart as we think we are, we can learn to
survive in a changing economy and a changing world...aad enjoy
R—by profiting from our mistakes. If the need for food and fuel is
glowing faster than the supply, well simply have to learn to make
more efficient use of them. And if our i leadership can't
develop the foresight and imagination to help us find the ways, then
well have to get more serious about the business of
leaders, and become more efficient with the ballot. We can do it, if
