Resigns Post as of July 1
E. O. Martin. Superintendent of I
I (he Gold-Burg Independent School
District, has resigned, effective
July 1, 1964. Martin has been Sup-
erintendent at the Montague Cpun-
ty school for the past five years.
He previously was High School
Principal at Petrolia. He has been

ganisatlons and is Chairman of the
Legislative Council of the Univer-
sity Interscholastic League at the
present time.
Mrs. Martin, an instructor In
the junior high grades at Gold-
Burg, has also submitted her re-
signation. They have two daugh-
ters, Marsha and Marta, students
at Gold-Bay ’

Laura Enbanks
Dies Monday
Mrs. Laura L. Eubanks died
Monday night in the local hospital
at the age of 91. Funeral services
were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in
the Burgess Funeral Home Chap-
el. Rev. Paul Henderson official-
ed.^ __________ ...... .. ______
She was born in Texas July 17,
1872 and spent her childhood with
her brother and sisters in the
Buckner Orphan Home near Dal-
las. She was married to Tom Al-
fred Eubanks November 16. 1901.
He preceded her in death in 1944.
She was a member of the Moua
tain Home Baptist Church in Jack
County and lived there many
jears. She had made her home in
Montague County and Bowie for
25 years.
She is survived by two sons. Er-
tial Eubanks and Clarence Eu-
banks of Sunsej. three daughters,
Mrs. Ruby Oxford of Bowie,. Mrs.
Mollie Shuff of Springdale, Ark.,
and Mrs. Alpha Mayes of Wichita
Falls, six grandchildren and four
great grandchildren.
Interment was in Elmwood cem-
etery.
