than any other one deivoe for
dirt road making. This is the
season of the year that they
should be used almost constantly.
The many rains enable them to
trerun over the road with |
results .several times each week.
The road is bettered every time
one is used.
Every farmer should have one
and use it, not only on the road
in front of his property but on his
lots and his own private drives as
well. ThereienitaroadorUne
in this county that cannot be
greatly benefited by its'use. It
will not take long, with the weath-
er conditions as they now are,
with the frequent use of the drag,
for any and every road to be
made'in good shape.
In sojne places the farmers
come to town on their drag in-
stead of coming in the wagon.
They place a box large enough
to hold what they need from
town on the drag, go to town and
fix the road as they go. Is that
not a fine and wise idea and plan?
If the same plan was adopted by
our farmers around Bonham ths
roads would be well fixed in th'e adopting a remedy for and
next 00 days. Can’t you aee how
much better a road would be in
ten days if people would come to
town.on a drag that smoothes,
cements and hardens its surface
rather than in a wagon that cats campaigns that have been waged
and tears it all to pieoas? One
can come to town at as rapid a
pace with a drag as he can with a
wagon under the present condi-
tion of the roads. When the drag
is well used a time like this (he

Mr. A. A- Burney informed the
Favorite yesterday that while he
was recently in Collin county he
talked with a great many farmers
and all of them ar® more or less
interested in the growing of on-

will be planted next year. A firm
in Princeton informed him that
enough sped had been ordered, to
grow 300 oars of dnions with the

Will not our farmers awake to
the great importance to them
alone of having better roads and
will they not begin this plan to
better them, a plan if followed,
will surprise and delight them
with its results. Would it not be
far better to use a drag today
and fix the road well so that by
tomorrow or within a few days
you could bring good big load

it would be to oome to town with
