neth Dyer of Wichita Falls in the
Church of Living Faith in Nocona,
Saturday evening, Sept. 22nd at
7 p.m.
The Rev. Ed Davis read the
marriage vows before ap altar i
flanked with pink gladioli and
red roses. The couple was un-
attended. Witnessing the cere-
mony were Mrs. Setlla Kerr and
Mrs. Ed Davis of Nocona.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Singleton of
Ringgold and a graduate of Belle-
vue high school and has been
manager of the Ringgold Tele-
phone Co. since 1946.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ollie Dyer of Nocona
and attended Prairie Valley
school and has made numerous
appearances on television in the
entertainment field. He is em-
ployed in Wichita Falls with the
Inman Construction Co.
They will make their home in
Ringgold.

Mark, of Lubbock are visiting
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. Z.
Rhyne and sister, Anita Joyce,'

Mr. and Mrs.. Stockton attended
the stale fair and Tech A. & M
lootball game in Dallas, Satur-
day. Mr. Stockton has returned
to Lubbock where he is a junior
student at Texas Tech. ’
Coach Hiram Woosley’s *‘B”
Jackrabbits won their game with
Burkburnett last week with a
score of 14-0. Coach Woosley
says that many mistakes from
last game were corrected, and
the line improved considerably.
Some outstanding plays were
made by Joe Pat McCracken and
Jerry Cantwell.
The Bowie ”B” Jackrabbits
were on their toes again Tuesday
night as they played a game with
the powerful Electra team. The
final score was 6-0 with the Jack-
rabbits on the winning end. Gary
Liggett made the touchdown af-
ter receiving a pass from Jerry
Cantrell

Donna Cuppies are visiting in the
home of Mrs. Calaway’s daugh-
ter, Mrs. Frederick M. Johnson
in Springfield, Illinois. Mrs.
Johnson came to Bowie and they
drove Mrs. Cuppie’s car back.
They plan to make an extended
visit.
To Play Electra
The Bowie (junior high) Cot-
tontails took Burkburnett for a
27-7 ride last week when they
played on the home field. Touch-
downs were made by J. Miller,
Loo Cordell and Jimmy Frazier.
Frazier made the 3 extra points.
The Bowie Cottontails will play
Electra on the Electra field to-
night (Thursday). The game is
scheduled to begin at 7 o'clock.

ISSUE REFUNDING BONDS

COUNTY OF MONTAGUE
CITY OF BOWIE
In compliance with the pro-
visions of Chapter 163. Acts of
the Regular Session of the Forty-
second Legislature, 193 1, as
amended, NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that it is the intention of
the City Council of the City of
Bowie, Texas, to pass an ordi-
nance on the 5th day of Novem-
ber, 1956. authorizing the issuance
of CITY OF BOWIE WATER-
WORKS IMPROVEMENT RE- '
FUNDING BONDS, in the maxi-
mum amount of $80,000.00, for
the purpose of canceling, refund-
ing and in lieu of a like amount
of City of Bowie Waterworks
Improvement Wairnnjs, Series
1956, dated July 1, 1956; said re-
funding bonds to bear interest at
a rate not exceeding 3’^% per
annum, the maximum maturity
date of said bonds to bo not later
than 12 years from their date.
THIS NOTICE is given in pur-
suance of a resolution adopted
by the City Council of the City
of Bowie, Texas, on the 27th day
of September, 1956.
