After Long Illness
MM M A. Stump, 67, passed
away Wednesday night in the
| Bo vie Tiospitul-where she had
been confined for the past several
days. Mrs. Stuihp .suffered a
stroke some three years ago and
hud been ill since that time.
Funeral arrangements . were
not complete today but services
v. ill be held at the First Meth-
odist church oq Saturday Nov.
16, at 10 o’cIock. Interment will
be in Brushy cemetery
Cweiis-Brumley in charge.
Mrs. Stump was corn on Feh-
rvary’ 25, 1891), in Hardeman
county. Her maiden name was
Laura Mae Tucker. Prior to com-
ing to Montague coilnty in 1U37,
she had resided in Oklahoma.
Mr. and Mrs. SPfinp have re-
sided three miles southeast of
Bowie.
Mrs. Stump is survived by her
husband -and four sons, Earl and
’ Bud of Bowie; D-m. of Olney and
Jiilmnie,- of Wichita Falls; also
- three daughters, Mrs. Mae Wor-
thy and Miss Bell Stump, of Sagi-
naw and Mrs. Dorothy Storm?,
of Barstow, Calif.
Four brothers and three sisters
are among the survivors. They
aie Otis Tucker, of Bowie; Marion
Tucker, of Abilene; Jim Tucker,
of Odessa; Mrs. Edna York, of
Nocona; Mrs. Effie Dennis, of Tu-
cumcari, New Mexico; arid Mrs.
Alice Erwin, of Poteet. Fifteen
grandchildren and one great-
grandchild survive.
