Stressing the importance of having
children tested for tuberculosis before
they enter school, Dr. G. C. Harris
told the grammar school Parent-Teach-
ers Association at a meeting Tuesday
that where the test revealed the
disease was present the child’s par-
ents should know about it and treat-
ment should follow.
Every child develops tuberculosis
early in his life but is able to over-
come the disease, Dr. Harris said. The
scar left on his lung serves as a vac-
cination against infection in the
future, the doctor pointed out.
