Committee To Select Them!
For Primaries From Any
Part of City.
The city executive committee of the
Democratic party has chosen the poll-
ing places In each of the different
precincts for the coming primary. The
judges have not yet been selected and
probably will not be until the certified
poll lists are out. The method of
choosing judges by the committee will
be most likely the selection of thor-
oughly representative men. no matter
in what part of the city they may reside-There
appears to be some objection
to letting the two leading candidates
for mayor do the selecting as here-
tofore. The date of the primary Is not yet
chosen. It now looks like It will
probably be February 28. Burt Orn-
dorff. one of the candidates for mayor
has written a letter to the city ex-
ecutive committee suggesting March 8
as the date for the primary.
Mr. Orndorff and all the candidates
on his ticket have joined in a letter to
the city executive committee opposms
the idea of pairing the candidates for
aldermen and favoring the plan that
the four receiving the largest number
of votes be declared the nominees of
the Democratic party at -he election.
The Davis candidates are also said
to favor a free for all race but they
want the four Orndorff aldermen
grouped and the four Davis aldermen
grouped and are willing they state
to draw to decide which group of al-
dermen shall be placed first on the
Precincts.
The voting places will be as follow:
