piness. I realise that today for I

Gen. Obregon'a wife and his babies
are in Negates. During the luncheon
he excused himself a few minutes
and talked to her over the long dis-
tance telephone. Mrs. Obregon's
father. Francisco Tapta Is ill there.

tician shows the crop ot this state to
equal in condition the crop of Arirona
and to excel the condition of all other
states.
Sixteen thousand bales are forecast
for "ew Mexico this season which
more than doubles any previous crop.
Last year's production was 7000 bales.
The condition of the nation's crop
is riven by states below with a fore-
cast of production made on the con-
dition of the crop September 2a. On
this date 12212000 bales were esti-
mated. This is 571000 bales more
than the estimate for August 25. The
reduction is due in great part to the
ravages of the boll weevil during the
month of September. However the
present forecast exceeds last vear's
production by 1182 000 balcst

by judge Dnval West in federal
court Wednesday morning when be
entered a plee of guilty to possession
of tequila. He paid the fine.
Griffith was arrested several daya
ago when prohibition officers allege

O. P. Brown local labor agent and
Jose Diss his employe were fined

Masked Robbers Holdup
8 In Phoenix Labor Hall
Phoenix. Arix Oct. Two masked
men with drawn revolvers entered
the Phoenix Trades Council ball late
tonight lined np eight men forcing
them to put up their hands aad face a
wall and robbed the men end a cash
drawer of about CM in money and a
number of checks. Hundreds of per-
sons pa seed the labor hall while the
holdup was In progress. The bandits
took no Jewelry from their victims.
When they had finished they backed
out the door their guns still covering
the eight men end disappeared in the
darkness- Officers later reported hav-
ing taken two men into custody as
suspects.
