After more than three months
of suffering from a nervous ail-
ment, Miss Glivar used Dr. Miles
Nervine which gave her such
splendid results that she wrote
us an enthusiastic letter.
If you suffer from “Nerves.”
If you lie awake nights,
start at sudden noises, tire
sasily, are cranky, blue and
fidgety, your nerves are
probably out of order.
Quiet and relax them with the
same medicine that “did the
work" for this Colorado girL
Whether your “Nerves” have
troubled you for hours or for
years, you’ll find this time-
tested remedy effective.

Mexico City, Aug. 24 — A possibility
the entire left wing of the Mexican
senate—consistent supporters of Presi-
dent Lazaro Cardenas—would vacate
its seats in congress emerged Sun-
day in the wake of the “irrevocable”
resignation of the majority of the
bloc’s officers.
Senators Ernesto Soto Reyes of Mi-
choacan, Candido Aguilar of Vera
Cruz and Pedro Torres Ortiz of Coli-
ma—president, vice president and sec-
retary, respectively, of the left wing-
resigned those offices at a secret
meeting of the group Saturday.
At the same time they asked "in-
definite leave of absence” from the
senate, citing as their reason the “po-
litical agitation" caused by the left
wing's refusal this week to seat six
candidates of the Nationary Revolu-
tionary (government) party whom
the .parity had declared election vic-
tors.
Denial of seats to the party’s can-
didates left Thursday to the resigna-
tion of Emilio Portes Gil as presi-
dent of the party and predictions two-
members of the cabinet, if not more,
would be forced to resign.
Fourteen of t be 48 senate left wing-
ers — there are 52 senators — were
reported preparing also to ask leave
of absence, in "solidarity" with* the
bloc’s officers and it was held not
unlikely the rest would follow suit.
Congress is scheduled to reconvene
September 1, when President Carde-
nas will deliver his annual message.
Political observers said they be-
lieved the senate developments
brought closer a showdown between
conservatives and radicals in Presi-
dent Cardenas’ cabinet.
There were rumors the left wingers
believed the president still sympathetic
with Portes Gil and the conservative
administration faction ‘ he supposedly
heded, and were seeking to force
the chief executive to show his hand.
If they won, it was said. Secretary
of Agriculture Saturnino Cedillo and
Secretary of the Treasury Eduardo
Saurez, if not others, would have to
nand over their powtfolios.
