Begins New Schedule
Sunday marks the resumption of
the regular schedule of services for
fall and winter at the Church of the
Advent according to Rev. P. W.
Hirst rector. Other regular activi-
ties of the parish are starting again
after the summer vacation. Special
attention is called to the time of
morning services: Holy Communion
at 7:30 morning prayer at 11:00
church school at 9:30.
At the 11 o'clock service the Rt.
Rev. W. T. Capers. D. D. Bishop of
West Texas will be the preacher.
Bishop and Mrs. Capers are making
a short visit to the city as guests
of the parish counseling with the
leaders and meeting the people.
Parents of Church School children
and young people are asked to note
the resumption on Sunday of the
regular term of instruction. The ses-
sion begins at 9:30 with a service of
worship to be followed on this date
with registration for class instruction
which will start on September 27

pears to be employed according to

trying to fill four places on the i
local staff.
Miss Dorothy Pohl resigned to be
married and Mrs. Charles Hinkly
moved to Robs town to take a posi-
tion as physical education director
in the schools.
In addition to these vacancies.
Pavti is seeking another teacher for
the Junior high school and for the
Fred Booth school. Attendance has
Increased considerably in the gram-1
mar grades. Davis has been having j
a hard time getting teachers for the [
four places open nere.
Some 128 pupils are attending
high school from five outlying dis-
trict*. They come by bus.

Serie* Scheduled
"Agencies In Con version'’ will be
the subject at the Central Christian
church Sunday night 7:45. Thii Is
the second of a course of sermons
now in progress on the theme of
"Conversion.’*
The series was opened last Sun-
day night in a .sermon that set the
•cope for the entire series. The ser- I
mons each successive Sunday night
will develop the whole study both |
Instructlonally and practically. Each
•ermon will be complete in itself
and will deal with the subject as!
It relates to the needs of the life
of man today. Therefore they will
