We are not running Mr. Neff’s campaign but
if we were we would meet the issues fair ane
Col. Tom Love is trying very hard to pitch
the battle against Bailey along national issues
and Mr. Bailey is trying just as hard to keep
away from those issues. Mr. Bailey apparently
is going to stake his all on his fight against union
labor and in favor of the open shop. Mr. Neff
will undoubtedly make his position plain on the
labor question in his speech to be delivered to-
morrow night in Dallas. Mr. Neff must have been
less acceptable to labor than either Thomason or
Looney for unquestionably these two gentlemen
received the great bulk of labor’s vote. The
Morning News believes Mr. Neff to occupy that
safe and sane middle ground that will not make
