There is perhaps nothing more dis-
■ tressing to people who are bothered
with them, and surely- nothing as dis-
i pleasing to others who see them as
pimples, blotches, bumps, rash, scro-
i fula, eczema, “breaking out,” and
similar skin disfigurers.
And now that Black and White
Ointment is proving to be so depen-
dable in quickly getting rid of these
diseases of the akin, it seems foolish
for people to neglect using it, and
making themselves attractive to oth-
ers instead of being slighted all the
time.
Any dealer has Black and White
Ointment in the convenient, low-pric-
ed liberal packages. The 50c size con-
tains three times as much as the lib-
eral 25c size.

The following figures were furnish-
ed yesterday by County Engineer E
F. Maddox, to show the percentage
of aid granted by the state for the
building of the Jefferson Highway
and Highway No. 8 the two best
I highways in the state.
A total of $92,283.89 has already
been granted through state and fed-
, er al aid for work on Highway No. 8.
An estimate and a petition for *8,490
more on this have been submitted
to the Highway Commission and vir-
tually approved, pending decision on
designation of the south end of High-
way 8. This, when granted, will make
a total of *100,683.89 aid granted to
Harrison County for this road. Esti-
mates on this road called for a con-
struction coat of *159,137.79. This
shows that aid granted on the estimate I
