Club members in
Houston Marathon
Nine members of the Jewish
Community Center’s Men’s Health
Club participated in the recent
Houston Marathon. They had
been training for the event for
several months, and they accom-
plished a feat very few people
even try - a marathon race that is
more than 26 miles long.
They are Don Chabon, whose
time was 3 hours, 35 minutes,
Stan Doctor at 3:58, Harvey
Fuson at 4 hours even, Jerry
annual auction to be held in May
or June with all proceeds donated
to the Magen David Adorn of Is-
rael (Israel Red Cross).
Art Exhibition at the Jewish Com-
munity Center, 5601 South
Braes wood.
In addition to editing "Art-
magazine", which celebrated its
eleventh anniversary last May, Pat
Fleisher is a professional artist and
photographer. Her works have
been shown both in the United
States and Canada.
Paintings, drawings, prints and
sculpture will be accepted at the
center at the following dates and
times: Sunday, Feb. 8, 5-9 p.m.,
and Monday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m. to 2
p.m., and 6-9 p.m.
Cash prizes will be awarded:
first prize, $500; second prize,
$300; third prize, $200.
The Juried Award Art Exhibi-
tion will open with a reception
Saturday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. and
will be on view during regular
Center hours in the Deutser Art
Gallery through March 25.
