Carole Heifner is “Feature Artist of the Month”. Ms.
Heifner’s paintings are on display now at the Allen Public
Library.
The Log Rollers will be at the
Allen Woodmen Hall on Sep-
tember 20 at 7:30 p.m. This is a
members’ only night. New mem-
bers will be initiated.
The Woodmen annual picnic
will be Sunday, September 18 at
the Youth Center. If the weather
is bad the picnic will be in the
Lodge Hall in Allen.
Mrs. McKinney’s charm in
speech and expression filled each
member with gratitude in having
her as speaker on this occasion.
Following the program, each
one present joined hands in
prayer for the ones who are ill.
Special prayers were said for
Brother Bob Collingsworth, as-
sistant teacher of the class.
Refreshments were served by
the hostesses to 11 members and
1 visitor.
Meeting was dismissed by Mrs.
Paul Gilliland.
guest speaker for the meeting
and brought a most helpful
message. Her theme was “For-
giving Those Who Hurt You”.
Mrs. McKinney brought many
suggestions as to the methods
of forgiving.
Mrs. McKinney brought a
number of scriptures as a back-
ground for her remarks. She
concluded on a hopeful note,
“Though it is hard for one to
forgive, the Lord helps when
prayers are said for His guidance
in all life’s problems.”
