Paulette Davidson is a teller at Allen State Bank.
She started working for the bank about a year ago after
working for several years in Doctors’ offices.
Working as a bookkeeper for 6 months; Paulette was glad to
be moved into the teller spot, so she could, “work with people',”
she said.
Willette Rosson, President of Allen State Bank, praises
Paillette and says, “she does an excellent job of meeting the
public, taking pride and helping them in their banking needs.”
And there is a lot of work for the tellers to do after the bank
closes for the day — balancing their windows, counting money,
and lining up the checks for the bookkeeping department.
Paulette’s husband Jimmy is a captain with Plano Fire
Department. They have 2 children and live in Allen.
Rosson reminds that among the bank’s full range of services
the bank has competitive rates on time deposits, such as
Certificates of Deposit.
“The bank is currently paying 5 1/4 percent on regular pass
book savings,” Rosson said.

Calls coming to the Dallas office
of The Kidney Foundation of
Texas come from as far away as
Midland, Belton and Texarkana.
The Kidney Foundation officials
are unable to pinpoint how or
where these rumors began. What
is known is that treatment on an
artificial kidney machine is re-
quired for people to live when
their own kidneys no longer
function to cleanse poisons and
wastes from their body. This

suspect would probably regret the
escape, and his planned hide-out.
“I guess he just got to thinking
about those 7 years and decided
he didn’t want to stay penned up
that long,” Burton said, “He just
ran on impulse.”
But where he ran to was full of
ticks and chiggers, according to
Burton. The heavy brush in which
he was hiding was full of the
insects, and when captured,
Payne was, “eaten alive,” Burton
said.
“He just walked out of the brush
right past the deputy’s car and
never saw him,” Burton said.
Burton said that Cole hancuffed
the escapee after telling him to
halt.
The sheriff said Payne was
returned to the county jail where
he was allowed to take a shower
and put on fresh clothing before
being returned to a maximum
security cell.

life-sustaining treatment is re-

The Kidney Foundation appre-
ciates the energy and the good
intentions of the people who have
been saving these paper items.
They ask that people who want to
help dialysis patients can sign the
back of their driver’s license to
donate their kidneys for trans-

put their energy to use for the

Charles Eldridge Payne, was in
the courthouse to be resentenced
on a burglary conviction charge
for which he was to serve 7 years
in the Texas Department of
Corrections.
Sheriff Jerry Burton said
Corrections Officer Billy Chandler
was in charge of Payne and
another prisoner at the courthouse
and had allowed Payne a trip to
the restroom. The suspect ap-
parently decided to run and
headed toward west McKinney.
He had been returned to
McKinney from the TDC for the
resentencing, Burton said.
Burton said Payne was captured
by Reserve Deputy Don Cole near
the Texas Power and Light sub-
station south of Westgate Shop-
ping Center.
A helicopter circled over McKin-
ney most of the day searching for
the suspect.
Burton said that he thought the

perennial rumors break out across
the state that collecting such
things as cigarette packages, tea
bag tags, and universal product
codes can lead to the purchase of
