section or part of section or pro-
vision if this ordinance shall be
held invalid, such validity shall not
effect the valid portions thereof,
which shall be enforceable regard-
less of such holding

does not now exist any rule or
ordinance regulating and controlling
the installation or use of manufac-
tured or liquefied petroleum gases
within the corporate limits of the
City of Cleburne, which said gases
are highly volatile and inflammable
and if not properly controlled and
regulated constitute a dangerous
and hazardous condition affecting
life and property, create* an emer-
gency and imperative necessity for
the immediate preservation of the
public welfare and safety, which ne-
cessitates the suspension of the rule
requiring ordinances to be read on
three separate days before the final
passage thereof, and that no ordi-
nance shall become effective before
the expiration of 10 days from the

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLE-
BURNE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That all persons,
firms, or corporations who may,
from and after the effective date
of this ordinance, install or equip
any residence, business house or
apartment house, or any other
building located and situated withi
the corporate limits of the City of
Cleburne with any installation or
equipment designed to us« as a fuel
any form of manufactured or lique-
fied petroleum gases, shall use in
any such intallation, whether for
domestic or industrial use,- only a

with the fegulations for the design,
construction and operation of auto-
mobile tank trucks and tank trailers
for the transportation of liquefied
petoleum gases as approved by the
National Board of Fire Underwrit-
ers and the National Fire Protection

cause to be operated any tank truck
or tank trailer used for the purpose
of transporting liquefied petroleum

container to another, except from
a transporting unit into an approved
consumer installation, within the

Section 8. All liquefied petro-
leum gas sold within the City shall
be treated with a malodorant in
such quantile- as required by State
Law to create an odor easily de-
tected. In case of leaks in piping
or equipment.
Section 9. Any person, firm or
corporation violating any provision*
of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of. a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction for violation thereof,
shall be fined in any sum not to
exceed One Hundred Dollars
