Installing Brick Plant.
Some weeks ago, it was announced
that' Messrs. Hill' & Robinson of
Princeton, Missouri, had decided to
install a plant for the manufacture
of concrete brick and stone in Here-
ford. These gentlemen are now on
the ground with their machine and
. are engaged in the erection of build-
ings and installing their machinery
on lots near the right-of-way a block
east of the depot.
These gentlemen have had con-
siderable experience in the manu-
facture of concrete blocks and their
coming to Hereford will give ad-
ditional impetus to the large volume
of building now going on here.
They bring with them architects
and are in a position to erect the
buildings from foundation to roof.
Already several plans have been
turned to Messrs. Hill & Robinson
for their estimate and it is believed
that there will be two or three fine
concrete, business houses built at an
early date as well as several large
residences.
The proposition now under advise-
ment is to ship the sand from Miami
as that is supposed to be about the
best building sand in this part of
the ptate.

Is Not Crazy.
Gatesville, Tex., June 1, 1906.
Mr. J. P. Wood,
Hereford, Texas.
Dear Jim:—I got home day before
yesterday. Found the folks all well
except that Effie has a very sore
eye. I went up to Channing and
out to Dumas. Did not find any-
thing that suited me as well as the
Hereford country.
I have placed what I have on the
market and have one or two prospec-
tive purchasers for my farm now.
J don't know whether I will be able
[to sell or not, but if I can will be
*-with you in August.
Iam afraid I have ruined my
reputation for "truth and varacity"
telling what I saw on the plains. I
am expecting to be "pulled" any
time on a charge of "lunacy." I
tell them that it is the people here
that are crazy and not me. If I get
"pulled" I shall expect the people
of Héreford to furnish evidence to
show that the people here are crazy
and not me.
Keep your eyes open for bargains
in a residence. Also look out for a
house to rent. If I can sell here, if
I can't buy there will want to<r¿nt
until I can buy. I^et me hear from
you. Will write you again as soon
as I see further. Regards to all.
Yours, I
, J. R. McClellan.
