NEW YORK. Feb. 14. (U.P— The little bey couldn't believe his
"Granny" was dead.
- A He sat on the stairs in the cold house and pulled his thin pajamas
around his shivering body.
“Granny went to bed last Thursday and I couldn't wake her up.”
he explained to police who came to investigate.
Neighbors became suspicious last night when they heard water <
pouring from frozen and broken pipes in the house where Mrs.
Tilly Borman, 70, lived alone with her seven-year-old adopted son,
Murray Green.
Police who came to the house received no answer to their knock.
-They forced the back door and went inside where they found the v
child huddled on the stairs.
-The boy, an orphan, said he had tried for a week to tell his
“Granny" how cold and hungry "he was.
' Upstairs, police found Mrs. Borman's body in bed. An ambulance
doctor said she apparently died of a heart attack about a week ago.
The boy apparently had been sleeping with Mrs. Borman during
the entire week, police said. Her’s was the only unmade bed in the

Browsing through a book of fa-
miliar quotations, we find a lot
of poets have said a lot of things
about women. No one statement,
however, can be applied to all
states and that registration plates
of any other states are recognized
in Texas.
E. J. Amey. director of the motor
vehicle division, said "these agree-
ments eliminate a definite trade
barrier across state lines and en-
courage a free flow of commerce.
‘ I hey also save residents oi
Texas and other states thousands
of dollars which would otherwise
be spent registering vehicles in
more than one state.”
In most states, Texas passenger
car license plates are now valid
until their expiration, provided the
owner does not establish residence
or engage In gainful employment
in such state. In return, license
plates' on out-of-state vehicles are
good in Texas until they expire.
Trucks, tractors and trailers used
in inter-state operation are ex-
tended full reciprocity in most
states.
Amey said negotiations were In
progress - with Mexico to simplify
automobile and truck operation
between Texas and Latif America.

Another notable quality of some
women is their absolute faith.
It can be faith in a husband or
faith in God. In the case of one
80-year-old woman, it was faith
in the San Antonio fire department.
A two-story apartment house in
San Antohio was ablaze. Although
16 other residents of the building
had fled, Mrs. Adrian Rainsford
refused to leav her second - story
room.
When firemen finally rescued
her, she was cool as a cucumber.
Said she to Fire Chief A. T. Gott-
hardt:
“God bless you. I knew you brave
firemen would come and put the
fire out."
because it if an intelligent force
within the body that coordi-
nates the functions. What di-
rects the liver to produce bile
for digestive purposes? Who
controls the quantity and qual-
ity of this secretion? Can it be
done by administering stimu-
lants or inhibitants that affect
the stomach? Or is it more log-
ical to bring about a normal
association of the liver and the
stomach through the nervous
system. These logical ques-
tions are a direct explana-
tion of what Chiropractors do
to get sick people well and
then to keep them well. In the
case of digestive disturbances,
your Chiropractor is trained to
locate and remove the Nerve
Interference which directs and
controls the digestive organs.

Chiropractic teaches that the
power to he comes from with-
in.
It is unnecessary to add to
or take away from the human
body to bring about healing of ■
internal disturbances. The brain
being the source Of life, all
functions of the body are di-
rectly depending upon brain
generated energy for normal
function. When an interference
to the flow of vital life giving
brain energy exists, (hen the
trouble begins. You may not
be aware of the pressure upon
nerves for many days, months
or years after some minor fall,
Jar. jolt, • or accident happens
but the incoordination does
exist usually for quite some
time before. the symptom is
manifested. Destruction of
some nature is taking place
within the’body from the time
the interference to the flow of
brain generated nerve energy
exists. For many years we peo-
ple have observed symptoms —
wondered what organ or area
of the body was responsible for
tHe symptom.- Chiropractic
teaches us to cease wondering
