Washingtun, Feb. 11.—The statement
that Great Britain was "circulating
propaganda" in the United State* to
deter American naval building was
made ia the Renate today by Penator
Borah during a general debafe on dis-
armament. He understood, he declar-
ed, that sueh facts were in possession
of the Navy Department.
Senator Pomdexter, Republican, of
Washington, author of the Senate
Naval Committee ‛s recent adverse re
port on Boral’s suggestion for a six
months naval holiday, in answer to the
question as to whether the committee’s
investigation had disclosed any such
nitnation, replied there had been "some
testimony" on the subject, but the
committee did not believe it should be
made public.
"Iff this information is in the hand*
of the Navy Department," Borah said,
“Congress should have it. We are in
formed that in the Navy Department
there is proof ot propoganda conducted
