fendant were legally married on or
about the 9th day of November, 1943,
and lived together as husband and
wife until the 16th day of December,
1943, when on account of the conduct

answer the plaintiff’s petition at or
before 10 o’clock a. m. of the first
Monday after the expiration of 42 days

Said plaintiff’s petition was filed on
the 29th day of May, 1944. The file
number of said suit being No. 63,561.
The names of the parties in said suit
are: Gertrude Copeland as Plaintiff,
and Eugene W. Copeland as defen-
dant.
The nature of said suit being sub-
stantially as follows, to-wit: That
plaintiff is now and has been an ac-
tual bona fide inhabitant of the State
of Texas for more than twelve months
and has resided in the County of Gal-
veston for more than six months next
preceding the filing of this suit. That
the residence of the defendant is un-
known to affiant.
Plaintiff and defendant were law-
fully married on April 7th, 1937. in
Baxar County, Texas, and lived to-
gether there as husband and wife and
had two children born to them who
are now with this plaintiff and being
cared for and supported by her, to-
wit: Clifford Ray Copeland now age
about 6 years and Patricia Fern Cope-
land now age about 5 years and she
states after several separations from
defendant she finally separated from
him on the 1st day of November, 1943,
and has not lived with him as wife
since said date. That defendant has
always been cruel, harsh and tyran-
nical toward her, has often struck her
and otherwise abused her, has been a
constant drinker and never properly
supported her and his children and on
the day above, to-wit: the 1st day of
November, 1943, after abusing and
striking her left and abandoned her
and his children leaving them without
proper funds for their care and has
not returned to the date of the filing
of this petition; that she and her chil-
dren left and came to the home of her
parents in Galveston County, Texas.
Premises considered plaintiff prays
the Court that defendant be cited by
publication to answer this petition and
that on hearing she have judgment
forever dissolving the marriage rela-
tions now existing, between them;
that the care, custody and control of
her minor children be awarded to her,
etc., as is more fully set forth in said
original petition now on file in my of-
office.

vaggio, Greeting:
You are commanded to appear and
answer the plaintiff’s petition at or be-
fore 10 o’clock a. m. of the first Mon-
day after the expiration of 42 days
from the date of issuance of this Cita-
tion, the same being Monday the 26th
day of June, A. D., 1944, at or before
10 o’clock a. m,, before the Honorable
District Court of Galveston County, at
the Court House in Galveston, Texas.
Said plaintiff’s petition was filed on
the 10th day of May, 1944. The file
number of said suit being No. 63,462.
The names of the parties in said suit
are: Dorothy Salvaggio as plaintiff,
and Paul A. Salvaggio as defendant.
The nature of said suit being sub-
stantially as follows to-wit: That
plaintiff is now and has been for
more than one year next preceding
the filing of this petition, an actual
bona fide inhabitant of the State of
Texas and has been for more than six
months next preceding the filing of
this petition, an actual bona fide in-
habitant of the County of Galveston,
Texas. Defendant’s residence is un-
known to affiant.
That plaintiff and defendant were
duly and legally married in New Or-
leans, Louisiana, on or about the 7th
day of December, 1939, and are now,
in law, man and wife though they
have ceased to live together as such
since in about the month of February
