drafted during the earlier months

Paso are among the officers in this
command from El Paso.
Tbe dispatches do not show the
3Cth division in the army of occupa-
tion. This is the division of which

Toronto Canada on an indefinite fur-
lough and is now at home with his

order issued by postmaster general
A. S. Burleson. -.The new rate sched-
ule follows:
Where day rate is 25 cents and 1
cent for each additional word night
message rate is reduced from Z5 and
1 cents to 0 and 1 cents.
Bay rate 30 and 2; night rate un-
changed. Day rate 35 and 2: night rate un-
chantred.
Day rate 49 and S: night rate re
duction so and z to so ana l.
Day rate 50 and 3: night rate re-
duction 40 and 3 to 35 and 1.
Day rate CO and 4: night rate re-
duction. 50 and 5 to 40 and 1.
Day rate 75 and 5: night rate re-
duction. 60 and 4 to 40 and 2.
Day rate 100 and 7; night rate of
50 and 2 is established.
The local office has few messages
coming under the 40 cent rate. Above
that rate the greatest reduction on

NEAR STANTON BRIDGE
The body of an unidentified man
supposedly a Mexican or Italian was
found in Juarez about a quarter mile
from the Stanton street bridge. Sun-
day morning. Captain & IL Veater of
El Paso was summoned by police chief
Morales of Juarez to assist him in-
vestigate tho case.
According to captain Veater the
man was a victim of foul nlav as
evidenced by a rope mark around his
mourn wmcn Indicated that ho had
been gagged. Distinct whip marks
were also found on his body though
the actual cause of death was not
ascertained. The man was about 3i
years old. had dark hair streaked
