pany had been named by the United

company was appointed receiver. The
smelter and two mines operated by
the company were closed recently.

that in addition to two bond unties
totaling more than J 1.000. 000. the com

Attorneys for the company stated
that the object of the federal court re-
ceivership was to hold intact the as-
sets of the corporation so that opera-
tions might be resumed when the
price of copper justified.

Union Stage company has been re
strained from operating Its motor
cars Deiween Jerome ana rrroujn
over the new state highway by an
order issued by jndge Frank H. Ly
man of the superior court of Maricopa
county. The Arisona Bus company
lnstitued injunction proceedings
against the Jerome Union on the con-
tention that the latter company was
oneratlnr without a certificate or
convenience and necessity.
The defendant company declared it
held a certificate to operate over the
old Jerome-Prescott road and it In-
sisted the certificate applied to the
new highway.
