Ernest Rowan, son of Mr.
and Mrs. A. F. Rowan, of Glen-
wood died there at three o’-
clock Tuesday morning, Feb.
19. He had been ill since just
the Friday before with pneu-
monia, and his unexpected and
untimely death came as a great
shock to his friends and rela-
tives.
The deceased was 23 years,
4 months and 27 days old. Be-
sides his parents, he leaves to
mourn his passing, a wife and
baby. Also one brother, An-
drew Rowan of Gilmer and
two sisters at home, Lena May
and Mildred Rowan.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday afternoon at three-
thirty o’clock from the Glen-
wood church. —
' Rev. Fred Few of the First
Methodist -Church, Longview,
who was scheduled as the
speaker, however, will be un-
able to attend as previously
announced. . j
With tonight’s meeting Rev.
Stewart. Clendenin inaugurates
a new series of gatherings, to
be held at the Methodist
Church the third Wednesday
of each month.
Special musicwil be furn-

Mrs. H. C. Dial died at the
home of her son, Dr. R. G.
Dial, at Dallas Tuesday night
alt 10 o’clock. Death came sud-
denly from a heart attack. Mrs.
Dial was about eighty-two
years old:
She was the widow of the
late Dr. H. C. Dial, who
practiced medicine ~ at Big
Sandy for many years. In, 1919
they moved to Gilmer and lived
here a few years, then moved
to Dallas. Dr. Dial died about
twelve years ago, and was
buried at Dallas. '
Three of her sons are also

The infant daughter of Mr.
- And Mrs. W. L. Andrews of
Coffeeville, born Tuesday
morning, February 18, died at
seven o’clock the same even-
ing. -----
