3 Arrests Friday
The car which was I stolen
from the T. V. Hair used car
lot last Saturday night was
found by officers in a creek
bottom about six miles below
Longview Friday. -
It had been soaked with gas-
oline and set afire, and the
license plates thrown into the
branch in an effort to prevent
its identification after th
thieves learned that officers
were close on their trail.
Three Upshur county youths,
Billie Dillon and Lonnie and
Raymond Singletary, were ar-
rested in connection with the
theft, and Friday two of them
had sighed statements telling
in detail of the offense.
The Singletary boys are
brothers. Lonnie has a police
