p. m. Saturday at Houston,

Baptist Church performing the
ceremony. Shortly after their
marriage Mr. and Mrs. Bald-
win left for San Antonio where
they will visit for a few days
and will return to Gilmer about
Feb. 15th. They expect to make
their home in Gilmer.

Monday at James;
Funeral Tuesday
Mr. Finis ' Milton Lester,
prominent merchant and farm-
er of James in this county,
passed away Monday morning
at about ten o’clock, following
an illness of several years’
duration.
The late Mr. Lster was born
in Alabama. He had lived at
James for the past 25 years;
and for a number of years
previously had lived at Saltillo'
in Hopkins county. At the time'
of his death he had reached

Ted Kightlander of Glade-
water suffered several fractur-
ed ribs and an injured back
when the car he was driving
collided with a gasoline truck
at about 4:30 Sunday morning.
The Kightlander car was
going ‘sou th, and the truck was
northbound to Texarkana. They
crashed on the curve on the
south highway just inside the
city limits where the Glenwood,
after which he was taken to
Gladewater. The Plymouth
