Lieut. Govergox, Edgar E.
Witt, in Dallas Wednesday on
legal business,- commented on
interpretation placed upon his
recent public statement in
which he made known that he
expects to vote for repeal of
the Eighteenth Amendment.
The stand taken by any man in
public life on the question of
prohibition should not be con-
sidered as political qualifica-
tion to fill public office, Mr.
Witt said, adding that he has
not announced as a candidate
for any office and that when
he decides that he will be a
candidate, public announce-
ment will be made.
