the courthouse yard in Brenham
Thursday evening by the famous
Second Infantry Band, an organization
of musicians of which Brenham is
justly proud. Under the direction of
Prof. F. J. Uavratll, who is recognized
as one of the finest band leaders in
the South, the members of the band
have been practicing for some time
and are now prepared to render an ex-
tensive repertoire of high class music
in a most finished and artistic man-
ner. -These summer night concerts
are the source of great pleasure to
the people of Brenham during the
heated.season.
The Tuesday Bridge Club was en-
tertained by Mrs. L. E. Rasberry. The
prize was won by Miss Minnie Lee
Gehrmann. Those present included
the club members and Mrs. W. A.
Wood of Houston and Mrs. J. V. Car-
roll of Victoria.

ernoon there will be a sacred concert (
at the German Methodist Church. The ’

1 day afternoon and the annual concert
will be given Monday evening.
