It was learned yesterday morning that at Monday night's session
of the city council the election of an alderman from the First ward
to fill out the unexpired term of ex-Alderman Gillis, deceased, would
come up, and that the names of Joseph M. Crawford and W. D. Mil-
ler, Jr., would be presented as candidates to succeed the late Aider-
man Gillis. The council has the authority to select an alderman to
fill out an unexpired term six months prior to the general election,
and It is very probable that the vacancy will be filled.
Both of the avowed candidates for the position are well known
citizens of the South Side, and each has a strong backing.

"Out of friendly < uriosity I wrote to
the proprietors of the remedy asking
for information as to what the tablets
contained and they reoiled that the
principal inzredients were aseptic pep,
sin (government testi, malt diastase
and other natural digestives, which
digest food regardless of the condition
of the stomach.”
The root or the matter is this, the di-
gestive elements contained in Stuart’s
Dyspepsia Tablets will digest the food,
give the over-worked stomach a
chance to recuverate and the nerves
and whole system receive the nourish,
ment which can only come from food;
stimulants and nerve tonics never give
real strength, they give a fetitious
strength. Invariably followed by reac-

daily food, and if you can insure its
prompt action and complete digestion
by the regular use of so good and
wholesome a remedy as Stuart's Dya-
pensta Tablets, you wil have no need
of nerve tonics and sanitariums.
Although Stuart’s Dyspepsia Tablets
have been in the market only a few
