The Gene Lindsey home which
was beautifully decorated with
tulips and snapdragons, was the
•scene of the April meeting of the
Anna Garden Club. The pilgrim-
age which was scheduled for this
month was cancelled. Plans for the
club’s flower show in May was dis-
cussed. Mrs. Gene Lindsey, assist-
ed by Mrs. Bill Lindsey, co-hostess
served a two-course dessert.

accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ward
Williams and son of McKinney,
of Mrs. T. J. Gambrell and Mr. and

The friends of Mr. Harry Drury
of Anna who is in the McKinney
City-County Hospital wish for him
a speedy recovery. Mr. Drury at
one time operated a grocery store
;in Blue Ridge.

two grandchildren of Dallas, Mr.
and Mrs. Wade Knott and daugh-
ter, Mrs. John Ball, Mrs. Bivens of
Farmersville and son. Choice, and
daughter, Zona, of McKinney visit-
ed with Mr. and Mrs. Green Dow-
land over the week-end.

of Dallas. In the afternoon, they
and Rev. and Mrs. Cox visited with
Mr. R. A. Press who is a medical
patient in the Bonham Hospital.

bock are visiting relatives and
friends in Blue Ridge and Farm-
ersville this week.
Mrs. Bob Crawford of Killeen is
visiting her grandmother, Mrs.
Georgia Branch, and aunt, Mrs.
Mandy Cooper.

girls spent last week-end in Ar-
lington with his mother, Mrs. Alice
Bellows.
Mr. and Mrs. Freeman White are

The Home Demonstration Club
met last Wednesday with several
members present. Mr. Austin of
Garland gave demonstration with
Singer sewing machine which was
very; interesting. Mrs. Leslie Mc-
Crearyrwas hostess and; served cold
drinks and cookies which were
very । refreshing. The club will meet
Tuesday evening and clean club
yard.
Mr. and Mrs. George Henning
arid family of Rowlett, Mr. and Mrs.
Milford Spurgin of Blythe Chapel
were Sunday visitors of their
mother, Mrs. Ethel Stinson, and
attended decoration at Forest
Grove.
Miss Lillie Walker of Garland
visited Miss Azubah Killian Sat-
urday.
Friends were sorry to hear of the
death of Mrs. Horn of Lubbock. She
was a sister of Miss Lizzie Epps who
formerly lived here.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Tomberlin
were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack McCreary last Friday.
We are sorry to hear of illness of
Dub Goforth who was operated on
last Saturday in Dallas. Dub grew
up here in our community and we
wish him a speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Fowler and chil-
dren of Dallas visited her mother,
Mrs. Tom Jones and other relatives
here Sunday.
