had lived in Collin County most of
her life. She was married in 1903
to Joe Rutherford, and was a mem-
ber of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Joe
Rutherford, of McKinney; two
daughters, Mrs. Lee Gilmer, of
Prosper, and Mrs. Allen Ferguson,
of Pasadena; four grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.
Rev. John Hill of Lewisville con-
ducted services with interment in
Restland Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Mon-
day morning at Dinuba, Calif., for
Miss Carolyn Holcomb, 16-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clell
Holcomb, who died following an
automobile accident Friday night
of last week.
Miss Holcomb’s parents were na-
tives of Collin County, having
been reared at Celina. Her grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Casey,
formerly lived at Celina but make
their home in California now. Her
great-grandmother, Mrs. G. C.
Ford, lives in McKinney.

tle son, G. R. Jr, of Lubbock were
week-end guests of their parents
in Allen and along with Mrs. Betts’
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Marion,
visited the Marions’ granddaugh-
ter, Marion Jane Boyd, who was re-
covering from an appendectomy in
a Dallas hospital.

STATIONED IN KOREA
24TH DIV., Korea.—Pvt. Mazie
L. Fox, 21, whose wife, Sadie, lives
at 224th Elm St., McKinney, is a
member of the 24th Infantry Divi-
sion in Korea.
The 24th is one of two American
divisions stationed in Korea. It was
the first to fight in the Korean con-
flict.
Fox is assigned to Company L of
the division’s 19th Regiment. He
arrived in Korea last February.
Fox is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jessie J. Fox, 2575, Southwell, Dal-
las.
