Swimming Parties
On July 7, the Trinity Walther
League and their guests went to
Bellville for a swimming party
Following a swim the group of
around 35 enjoyed Iced water-
melon.
The Brazos Valley Zone held
its annual swimming party in
Brenham on July 15. Each of
the 40 Leaguers in attendance
brought a sack lunch and after
the swim gathered together and
ate supper. Eight Leaguers
went from Sealy.

cream and fruit, and cold drinks,
were enjoyed.

On Melnar Farm
A group of out-of-town people
spent a very enjoyable 4th of
July week-end on the Leo Mel-
nar farm. Twelve people spent
the week-end on a camping trip
_on the high bank of the Brazos
River: Being mostly all city peo-
; pie they enjoyed the out-of-door
cooking on open fire and sleeping
in a tent or in cars. Although
fishing wasn't very good, the
children enjoyed the boat rides
up and down the river.
Those camping out were Mr.
and Mrs Edward Marek and
daughter, Patsy, Mr. and Mrs.
Pete Brasher and children. How-
ard, Bruce. Janis and Judy, of
Texas City, Mrs. Brasher's moth-
er, Mrs. Jane Prall of Galves-

Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. (AH-
TNC) — Cadet Anthony M. Tru-
chard, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Truchard, Route 1, Cat
Spring, is receiving six weeks of
training at the Army Reserve
Officer Training Corps summer
camp at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
The training is scheduled to be
concluded July 29.
During this training Cadet
Truchard is receiving practical
experience and instruction in tac-
tical, technical and administra-
tive subjects, with special em-
phasis being placed on the du-
ties of a second lieutenant.
Cadet Truchard is a student
at the University of Texas. A
member of Phi Lambda Upsilon
fraternity, he is a 1957 graduate
of Columbus High School.

Hranicky is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Hdge Hranicky of
Wallis, and he is the son of Colo-
nel Frank Stepczyk of Killeen.
Miss Hranicky was attired in a
beautiful bridal gown with a
veil, and he wore a white tuxedo
with black trousers,,Miss Char-
lene Hranicky. sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. Be-
sides the other attendants, Ve-
ronica Wise and Gwendolyn Hol-
ub served as flower girls. The
ring bearer was Dennis Pustejov-
sky. The witnesses were Adolph
Marek and Mrs. Agnes Kosanek,
I and Mr. and Mrs. Stepczyk.
Mra Stepczk attended the
University of Texas, and has
taught at Galena Park for two
years. She attended the Univer-
sity of Texas, and Mr Stepczyk
was a student at A. and M. Col-
lege. He is employed by the Todd
Ship Yard in Houston. Best
wishes follow the young couple.

the following servies and concessions for the 1980 Austin
County Fair, which will be hold on three days, October 20, 21.
and 22. All blds must be in the hands of the Secretary, Mattie

Rhonda Lee Schroeder arrived
at the Bellville Hospital on Sat-
urday, July 16, at 7:20 p.m.
She weighed in at 7 Ibs. and 12
oz. She is the first child of Mr.
and Mrs Milton Schroeder. Jr.
Her mother is the former
Tommie Jo Ella Johnson of Bell-
ville.
Grandparente are Mr. and Mrs.
George Johnson of Bellville and
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Schroeder
and the great grandfather is
Charlie Bolten of Sealy.
Although It was fun and dif-
ferent, the twelve tired and dir-
ty people were grateful for the
hospitality of Mr. and Mrs
Frank Marek, parents of Edward
Marek, for letting them clean
and freshen up before 'starting
home.
