September 1, 1955 Ar. Harris Weston Dinsmore, Shohl, Sawyer & Dinsmore 12th Floor Union Central Building Cincinnati 2, Ohio Dear harris: On my return to my desk 1 have read your letter of August 22nd and Harris Kempner's reply to it. I am going to try to see qMr. Bruce some time next week. He has been encouraged repeatedly by one of the lawyers in the Bureau of Internal x'evenue to count upon a definite ruling' in our case, but again the Department has resorted to procrastination, if not actual bad faith. When I see Bruce I shall certainly call his attention to Sections 332 to 337, inclusive, and also to Section 346, though I doubt whether they will permit avoidance of the tax penalties in- volved in our situation, but I will refer the matter to Ar. Bruce. Your mother wrote us just before she left o1 Alice being the victim of an attack of pneumonia. I am glad to note from your letter that she is completely recovered. I hope to let you hear from me again within the next ten days or two weeks, and remain in the meantime, Fondly,
Kempner, Isaac H. (Isaac Herbert), 1873-1967.[Letter from I. H. Kempner to Harris K. Weston, September 1, 1955],
