Body of Mr. Hanson Found Yster-
day Afternoon Funeral Ser

The body of Martin Hansonsr;
was found yesterday afternoon
about three to'clock on the river
bank at the Tomatea ranch three

ing here about seven o'clock. Ow-
ing4to its having been in the water
for three days the1 condition of the

best noto take it to the family re
sidence so it was conveyed to the
court house where an inquest was
held last night. A verdict of ac-
cidental drowning was rendered.

going to wards the river. The find-
ing of a newspaper with his son's
address near theljetties in the
lower post indicatejthat he prob
ably fell into the river iwhile walk
ing along the bank at that point.
It was 'found- necessary to inter
the body last night and it was tak
en to the cemetery about eleven o'-
clock and' interred.. This morning
at half pas't nine the funeral ser-
vice was held . at the grave. Rev.
Johji Beean first conducted the ser-
vice according to the Episcopal rit
ual after which the Masonic rites
conducted by the Brownsville lodger
were performedfthe deceased having
been "a memberof that order.

years later he returned to his native

ribbon. In the centre jpf one room
was "the Royal table placed under
the chandelier. Its cover was of
royal purple brdcaded "satin "and
broad satin ribbons of the same
rich shade extended from the chan-
delier to the four' corners of the

contest it was found that Mrs. L.

prize between Mrs. E. K. Goodrich
Misses Lily Miller arid 'Addie Good-
rich. -On cutting Mrs. Goodrich
won and was awarded a ' horse-

tie also for the gentlemen's' royal
prize between Edward Dougherty
Frank Champion7 Oscar Sauder and
Herbert "Woodhouse; Mr. Cham-
pion was the lucky one and receiv

lution prize was Mr. Xacks wJio re
ceived a unique cigar cutter.
