Volatility
means the point at which a liquid vapor-
ises. You can readily see that the gaso-
line which vaporizes at the lowest tem-
perature will be the quickest to explode.
Therefore, a low vaporizing point means
quickness and ease in starting your car.

Three Texas state senators were
Auetin visitors Monday.
Senator R. M. Johnston cae over
from Houston to chat with friends.
Two Who Will Not Return.
Senator John M. Henderson was
here from Daingerfield, up in north-
east Texas, on business with state
otficials.
Senator E. A. Decherd came from
Franklin, also on business.
Were Defeated in Primaries.
Senator Johnston will return to
Austin for the thirty-sixth legisla-
aure, but Senators Henderson and
Decherd will not favor that body with
their presence. •,
Senator Henderson ran for lieu-
tenant governor and Senator Decherd
was a candidate for congressman; and
both were defeated.
But all three of these gentlemen
have many friends in Austin, and
especially at the capitol, and they
are always welcome to the city.
Senators Hehderson and Decherd
are two of the most valuable mem-
bers of the present legislature and
their brother lawmakers will miss
them in January.

"Do you match the wooden frames

Frame and Picture in Same Tone.
"I never think of the coloring of
the room, the wood or even the light
it is to be placed," said the expert.
"I always make the frame har-

tone of the picture itself aa possibie.
no matter what that may be; it is
tasy in these days of stained woods."
"Then a picture will look well any-

Have you seen those new photo-
graph frames that swing back and
forth like a pier glass, supported by
two standing sides?
Swinging . Frames.
They are to be found in Austin
shops, and are nice because they
can be tipped back or forth so a
good light will fall on the likeness
framed, for the glass over it often
catches a glare of light so that the
portrait can not be seen
They make a nice Christmas gift
for those who are intimate enough
friends to appreciate your photograph
I correctly framed.
Some of these frames are oblong
shaped, some elliptical, and the ver.
i tical bars, they stand between, are
: tight, and finished in matching wood
and carving.
Dull gold or silver or the new
wood stains are used.
Many persons who like to hang
photographs on the wall like the el-
liptical wall frames, oval—as they
were so long called.
These are nice when the photo is
to be hung on the wall.
Original Idea.
Nowadays it is the fashion to take
the old family photographs and da-
guerreotypes and have them rephoto-
graphed, slightly enlarged, in mod-
ern brown or sepia finish, and frame
them in these elliptical frames.
It brings them up-to-date, without
losing any of the old-time charm of
costume or pose, and is quite a tad
in the big cities.
