Section 42; consideration
made by Frank Towneley Watson, j
formerly of Seattle, Wash., who is j
now in the field in behalf of the |
Texas Chamber of Commerce.
Committees are now working the |
city, and it is anticipated that the 1
8 8.000 will be raised without much 1
effort.
The other commercal organization 1
of this city, the Young Men’s Proe d
gressive League, has successfully 1
pulled off a Forth of July celebra- 1
tion, and has matured all plans for j
a trades day for August 2, that is 2
proposed to eclipse any effort of the 1
past to crowd the city with visitors. j
Tom Collier is president of the ]
Chamber of Commerce, with Walters
Gantt secretary, while Harry Wii- 3
coxson is president of the league, I
with M. B Wills secretary. ।
There is much work for both or- j
ganizations to do, and both have an j
extensive following, with quite an j
elaborate program of activities I
mapped out. j
An item that has been referred to 1
the league is the rehabilitation of I
Coronal Institute, an educational in- J
stitution that for some time has been 1
used as a military school, but which J
heretofore had much success in the j
co-educational line.
