Hereford Boxing Club the last
three years, but got additional
help about Jan. 1 this season.
Vincent Guerrero, Sr. and Joe
Gonzales joined the program at
that time, and worked with the
boys in their boxing skills.
Wheeler said. "We’ve had a
better season than we’ve ever
hoped for We just hope our four
boys will be winners here."

door Friday and Saturday night
at the Bull Barn for the AAU
Region Nine Junior Olympic

Daugherty and Coffey with 149;

Bunky Preston took top honors
this past weekend in Hereford's
Partnership Golf Tournament
Johnson and Preston, of
Amarillo, had a low-ball score
of 132 to win the championship
flight.
Don Shanklin and Albert
O’neal were second with a 135,
and in third place was Dick
Weston and Marvin Dick with a
137.
First place finishers in the
first flight were Coyle Winbum
and James Avery with a 138;
Holloway and Palmer were
second at 139; and Robertson
and Locke were third with 140.
Second flight was won by
Vance Hall and Earl Simpson at
146; in a playoff after a tie at
147, the team of Allen and
Barnes beat Schmer and Simms
for second place.
