which she enjoyed in company with

Houston Texas have been in the
city the past day or so assisting in
the organization of a lodge of the
GrandFraternity order here. Mr. El-
lison left today for Corpus Christi to
install a lodge there but Mr. Hinsley
will remain here a short time in the
interest of the order.

The purposes of these conventions
being to elect a chairman of the Re-
publican Executive Committee of
Cameron county and to nominate
candidates for all precinct and coun-
ty offices etc. and to name delegates
to the county convention to be held
at Brownsville Texas on the 1st day(
of August 1908 for the purpose of
naming delegates to the state and
other conventions and to transact all
other business that may properly
come before it. Notice of the hold-
ing of said county convention being
now hereby given.
Presiding officers are further noti-
fied that only duly qualified republic
ans voters of this county shall be al-
lowed to participate in these conven-
