Durward would have expected

no modern equipment to work

by hand — strictly man power
was used. They mixed cement
by hand and carried it in buck-
ets. Durward bought a wheel-
barrow and gave it to them.
They donated six days of
work, then toured Pena,
Jerash, and Amman and an
old castle. Pena is an old city
with buildings made of rock.
They crossed over the Jordan
River to Israel and toured Jeri-
cho, the Sea of Gabler and
Nazareth, Bethlehem, Masada
and Qumran where the Dead
Sea Scrolls were found.
Thirteen members from the
Dallas District Church of the
Nazareno made the trip. They
also went to visit Mt. Nebo
where Moses got to take a look
into the Promised Land.
Durward said it was a very
tiring trip. They make this trip
