down Hallsville
The Freshman Lady Buck-
eyes volleyball team travelled to
Hallsville on Oct. 14 looking to
improve their district repord to
4-2 and they did just that. They
downed the Lady Cats in straight
games of, 15-7 and 15-8.
The Lady Buckeyes jumped

the strong serving of Summer
Weisinger. Cortney Cooper
added 3 to put her team farther
ahead, 11-2. Hallsville put 5
more points'on their side but
Summer Corn went to the ser-
vice line and scored 4 in a row to
give the Lady Buckeyes a 15-7
win.
In game two, the Lady Buck-
eyes were behind 7-1 after only
four Hallsville servers. Summer
Corn started a Lady Buckeye

off her serve. This put the Buck-
eyes back in the game but they
were still behind 6-7. Summer
Weisinger was the next Buck-
eye server and she roped off an-
other 6 points to give her team
the lead 12-7. Taryne Godfrey
and Cortney Cooper combined
to score the next 3 points giving
the Lady Buckeyes the win 15-8.

amazing facts about animals on
their trip to Discovery Science

with it’s tongue? How much dec-

questions for which the 3rd and
4th grade classes learned the
answers.
