Some very spirited 6th Graders at Grandview Junior High
School show they have that incredible Zebra Pride!

At least 5,000 homes and businesses in North Texas were still without electricity Tuesday morning after storms
roared through the area Monday night. Many in Grandview, including the elementary school, did not have power
until late in the morning on Tuesday.
Oncor reported about 16,000 customers lost power at the peak of thunderstorms which packed pea-sized hail,
heavy rain and damaging winds gusting as high as 72 mph.
According to one report, a Cleburne police dispatcher stated that a gust of wind toppled a tractor-trailer rig in a
parking lot at 7:50 p.m. The officer said there were injuries, but none were severe. A spokeswoman at Harris
Methodist Cleburne Hospital said no one was hospitalized from the incident.
Even though many limbs of trees were lost, lawn furniture was strewn, the bank’s awning was tom and the score-
board at Zebra Stadium was damaged, Grandview was lucky not to have any severe damages or accidents.
