moved here to make their home.

Misses Marie Carreker and Ger-
aldine Rampy were hostesses to
the Business Women’s Missionary
Society of the Baptist Church for
a Mission Study led by Mrs. Joe
Seitz. Taking part on the pro-
gram were Mmes. Florette Burns,
Clifton Kelly, Misses Stella Kiser,

and Miss Beth Smith, all of Can-
yon, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Glass of
McLean, and Mr. and Mrs. Wel-
don Smith of Amarillo, attended
the “Full House” here last week
and visited in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Dennis Smith, following
the play.
Mrs. C. L. Ford underwent sur-
gery in a Lubbock hospital last
week. Mrs. Ford, mother of Dal-
ton Ford, fell and broke her hip
earlier in the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Willie Dittberner
of Pampa were dinner guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Bill. Abbott last Sun-
day.
Charlie Hodges and Grant Han-
na, irrigation farmers from Here-
ford, have been assisting Mr.
Hodges’ father, Dave Hodges, and
brother, Roy B., in their cotton
harvest. The farmers brought
their harvesting equipment with
them.
Recent visitors in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Nicholson were
Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Wilson of Am-
arillo.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Skaggs
and Mrs. Laura Jo Skaggs spent
several days in Albuquerque, N.M.
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Nash of
Lovelock, Nevada, were recent
visitors in the home of his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nash.
Richardson Motor Company has
had a face-lifting. Looks very
nice with the new ’55 Fords on
display.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gosnell,
accompanied by a group of rela-
tives from Hayward, Cal., attend-
ed a family reunion held at the
home of Mr. Gosnell’s mother,
Mrs. Loyd DeFors, at Yale, Okla.,
recently.

Patsy Moran, a Senior at White
Deer School, was crowned football
queen during the half-time period
at the White Deer - Panhandle
football game Friday evening.
Miss Moran’s coronation was one
of the highlights of the homecom-
ing game. Tri-Captains Roy El-
ler, Ray Eller and Jerry Kotara
presented the crown, a bouquet,
and a locker to Miss Moran.
The White Deer Bucks defeated
the Panhandle Panthers in a 32-14
football game here Friday night,
which was highlighted when Ray
Eller made a 52-yard sprint for a
touchdown.
Mrs. Jerry O’Neal was honored
with a pink 'and blue shower re-
cently by the Bell Home Demon-
stration Club. The event was held
in the home of Mrs. Roland Dauer
and co-hostesses were Miss John-
nie Mae Dauer, Mr. D. W. Swain,
and Mrs. T. D. Anderwald. Ap-
proximately 20 guests were pres-
ent.
The Churches of White Deer-
held a joint Thanksgiving service
in the Methodist Church, Wednes-
day. Rev. L. V. Ratliff, Jr., pastor
of the Baptist Church, was the
speaker, assisted By Rev. Leroy
Baker of the Methodist Church,
Rev. Joe Murphy of the Presby-
terian Church and Rev. Evans of
the Assembly of God Church.

Memphis. The dinner was held in
the Memphis High School Cafe-
teria with 300 guests from 10 cit-
ies in the division. Attending from
White Deer was Mrs. Mabel Cot-
ton who accompanied traffic sup-
ervisor Ethel Andrews of San An-
gelo, who has been working in
White Deer.
The Golden Rule 4-H Club met
recently to elect officers. Elected
were Marilyn Kotara, president;
Phyllis Burress, vice president;
Mary Ann Freeman, secretary;
Kay Guyer, treasurer; Hortensia
Asencio, reporter; Linda Baten,
song leader; Roy Kay Thompson,
drill leader. Twenty-three mem-
bers saw a demonstration on
aprons, given by Mrs. Alva Thorn-
burg.
Mrs. Cliton Kelly was hostess
to the Venado Banco for a study
Velma Marx, Bert Isibell, David
Grayson, Huelyn Laycock, Gene
Gaston, Jo Hy Smith, and Miss
Clauda Everly, Mrs. Mabel Lan-
drum of Miami, was a guest.
Mrs. Glendon Young was host-
ess to the White Deer Home
Demonstration Club for a demon-
stration on custard pies, presented
by Miss Charlotte Tompkins.
Plans were made for the holiday
season. Present were Mmes. C.

St. Clair, George Bryan, Loyd
Collis, Rick Ramming, James
Stalls, Lawson Shaw, Clyde Her-
ridge, W. G. Eller, W. D. Newman,

Brownie Troop 26 held a wiener
roast and hike at Dorchester Corp.

Kirby,, Carolyn Young, Karen Os-

T.E.L. Class of the Baptist
Church held a combined work day
and business meeting at the
church last week. Birthday hon-
orees were Mrs. J. W. Wells, Mrs.
E. L. Colgrove, Mrs. Minerva Os-
borne and Mrs. G. A. Bell. Mem-

Hotel at Pampa recently. Follow-

Crutchfield for the business meet-
