think) 9 fish, 2 turtles, and 2 guinea pigs.
8. If you could give a one sentence advice about how to live
life, what would it be?
No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
9. Do you have a favorite weird food combination? I love this
question. My weird food combination since I was a kid is sliced
cheese and lemon juice. We lived close to a dairy so we got the big
blocks of sliced cheese. I loved lemons and would squeeze lemon
juice onto sliced cheese. Still eat it.
10. Where have you traveled the furthest?
Mexico. I wanted to say I had been so I took two friends and drove
down. Drove over the border and crossed back over when we came
to the ocean. Found out later you are supposed to walk across and
NEVER take your vehicle into Mexico but I did it. By Cindi Abbott
competitions. I did not like the modeling AT ALL but did enjoy
sewing. I graduated with 8 people in my class. It was my senior year
that 5 people moved into the district in my grade. Before that, it was
2 boys and me since 1 st grade.
6. Name three material things you probably couldn’t live life
without? This was a hard question for me to answer. Since I have
always done things the hard way, I found I can live without A LOT
of things. I know I can’t do without sunglasses. Sun is too bright.
Everything else I think I’d be happy to live without.

1. Where did you graduate from college? I graduated from UTA
in Arlington with Bachelors in Social Work. I then went back to an
online school and graduated from Louisiana College with a Masters
in Teaching and to finish it all off, I am currently taking online cours-
es at UNT-Denton for state board certified Behavior Analysis.
2. Why did you decide to become a teacher?
As I grew up, I found out I worked best with animals, elderly, and
special needs children. After graduating, I worked as a LBSW at a
nursing home and loved it. My daughter was getting older and a fel-
low social worker talked to me about attending summer academy
and becoming an emergency certified teacher. I wanted the same
schedule as my kid so I became a teacher. I chose the special needs
children. I absolutely love the kids I am fortunate enough to work
with them everyday and their parents are blessed to have them.
3. Name two or three people you believe impacted your life in
a positive way? A coach named Grant Tidwell. He taught my mom
and dad also. He was tough but very fair. He gave up his conference
time to teach me (just me in class) history so I graduated with
advanced degree. Oliver Jonnson was an exchange student from
Iceland. He taught me how to lighten up and not take everything so
serious. He showed up on our doorstep in a chicken suit to sing me
happy birthday. My mom. I think now she told me I couldn’t do
something just so I would get mad and prove her wrong. She taught

me you don’t have to wait on people to do things for you, do them
yourself. If you don’t know how, learn.....or just tear it up beyond
any hope of repair.
4. On Saturdays, I like to.....What I’d like to do is fish but what I
have to do is mow yard and home repairs. I always have some home
improvement projects going. I ride horses when I am home at my
parents in Star.
